Oceano Mozambique LDA was founded in 2012 in Tete with the goal of becoming the leading food products distributor in the country. Within a period of 8 years, we have expanded our presence across numerous cities such as Beira, Chimoio, Quelimane and Nacala.

About Us

Next to FMCG’s, dairy products and groceries, we mainly focus on frozen meats and fish which are mostly imported from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America, from over 100+ suppliers. In the above mentioned cities, we operate facilities that are located to provide efficient service and fast delivery to the market. Our present day total storage capacity is 7,800 tons for refrigerated products and 5,000 square meters for dry products. We maintain a private fleet of trucks to make hundreds of deliveries to our customers.

Alongside our distribution business, we also have a chain of stores (15 presently) spread across the Central and Northern regions in the country to ensure that our quality products are available in several areas. Our goal is to make our products available everywhere and we’re putting everything we’ve got behind it. By 2022, we will be present in Maputo, giving our customers more choices and more possibilities.

We are among the largest importers of frozen “carapau” (horse mackerel) in Mozambique. Our mission is to be the largest importer. Consumers want carapau - a delicious, affordable and healthy source of protein. That’s why we’re working to deliver our carapau caught from the Atlantic Ocean to more areas across the country.
We also offer a wide range of local and imported frozen meats, dairy and groceries including poultry, beef, milk powder and yogurts, with a combined selection of 100+ SKU.

Logistics

Our distribution centers are close to most retail locations and informal markets. Together with our fleet of trucks, numbering over 45, we can deliver to more areas – and do it with faster turnaround times. We also have in place a powerful logistics technology that helps deliver cutting-edge transportation solutions, from optimized routing and location tracking to driver best practices. For our customers, this means the highest service levels in the industry.
